MR BOX 22 is a radio doc I made here in New Guinea.
It’s about a guy who was born in the bush, raised throwing stones and drinking blood. But then, later shipped off to University, and thrust into the modern world. Now in his forties he’s a politician, standing for a seat in Parliament….in one of the world’s most notoriously corrupt and ineffective governments.
The piece is airing this week on ABC / Radio Australia.
I’m still at sea.
This post is from my first voyage, sailing alone around the world from 2009 to 2015. These days I live aboard El Dorado in France and send dispatches from the boat.

Or get real mail from the boat: the Foreign Correspondence Club.
